Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: 20 April 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy lists what you can't do with opshosts services. Violations result in suspension or termination — sometimes immediately, without refund. Reports go to abuse@opshosts.com.

You may NOT use opshosts to:

Illegal content or activity

  • Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to authorities immediately, no notice given before suspension.
  • Conduct anything illegal under UAE law or the laws of the country you operate from.
  • Violate intellectual property rights — copyright, trademark, trade secret.
  • Defamation, harassment, threats.

Network abuse

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or run open mail relays.
  • Phishing, credential harvesting, fake login pages.
  • Run DDoS attacks, port scans, or vulnerability scans against systems you don't own.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, exploit kits, or remote-access trojans.
  • Operate Tor exit nodes or open proxies.

Resource abuse

  • Cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting or low-tier VPS plans.
  • BitTorrent seeding/leeching of copyrighted content.
  • Sustained CPU/IO load that degrades neighbours on shared infrastructure.
  • Attempt to escape resource quotas or escalate privileges.

Content restrictions

  • Adult content is allowed where legal in the host's jurisdiction. Must not be CSAM and must comply with applicable laws.
  • Gambling sites must be properly licensed.
  • Pharmaceutical sales must comply with regulations in the destination jurisdiction.

Reporting abuse

Email abuse@opshosts.com with:

  • The opshosts-hosted URL or IP.
  • What activity violates this AUP.
  • Evidence (screenshots, logs, mail headers).

We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and act within 72 hours. Genuine emergencies (active phishing, CSAM) get same-day takedown.

Enforcement

We may suspend service immediately on reasonable suspicion of an AUP violation, then investigate. If proven, we may terminate without refund. If unproven, we restore service and refund any unused time.
